Enter your Mac login password to complete the installation. Activate Office 2016 for Mac. After Office 2016 for Mac is installed, Word 2016 for Mac opens so you can activate Office and confirm your subscription. You should only have to do this once. Review the Word 2016 for Mac What's New screen, and then select Get started.

Office for Mac that comes with a Microsoft 365 subscription is updated on a regular basis to provide new features, security updates, and non-security updates. The following information is primarily intended for IT professionals who are deploying Office for Mac to the users in their organizations.
Note
- Starting with Version 16.21, Microsoft Teams will be installed by default for new installations if you're using the Office suite install package. For more information, see Microsoft Teams installations on a Mac.
- For security reason, Microsoft has deprecated the use of SHA-1. Learn more
- Starting with the 16.17 release in September 2018, this information also applies to Office 2019 for Mac, which is a version of Office for Mac that’s available as a one-time purchase from a retail store or through a volume licensing agreement.

Office 2016 For Mac Installation
Most current packages for Office for Mac
- These instructions are for Mac users who need to install Microsoft Outlook 2016 on their computers. The full installation process is estimated to complete in one hour. The installation will automatically launch after the download completes.
- Microsoft has made available the Office 2016 for Mac Preview, which includes newest versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other programs. Anyone can install this free Preview version, which will continue to work until the official release of the product, which is estimated to be available in the second half of 2015.
- Can't download the Office 2016 for Mac installer. Check to make sure your internet is working on the Mac you're trying to install on. Pause any other downloads you may have active. If you've started a download and it's stuck, delete the download file by dragging it to Trash.
- Option1: Install and activate Office 2016 on Mac; Option2: Install and activate Office 2016 on Windows PC; Option1: Install and activate Office 2016 on Mac Way 1 to install Office 2016 on Mac. If your Office 2016 is a new copy and you haven't redeemed the product key or associated it with a Microsoft account, follow these steps: 1.
